GAIA, the Geomechanics Alliance in Asia, is proposed as a platform for Asian students and young researchers in geomechanics to exchange knowledge and ideas, fostering the development of a lasting research network.

GAIA First workshop is scheduled on Feb. 22 to 24, 2025 at Atami, Shizuoka, JAPAN.

2024/09/08: GAIA webpage is launched.
2024/10/28: GAIA first workshop registration is open.
2024/12/26: GAIA workshop keynote speakers are open.
2025/02/22-24: GAIA workshop was successfully held with 65 participants in attendance.
2025/02/24: Best presentation/ best poster awards were selected.
2nd GAIA workshop will be held in Shandong, China in March 2026.
