Participants visited FRP application sites in the southern part of Hokkaido
and stay overnight at a famous hot spring resort hotel Noboribetsu.

Laboratory Tour

Participants visited the Civil Engineering Research Institute,
Hokkaido Development Bureau where ongoing experiments and
research projects on FRP reinforcement have been displayed.

Accompanying Persons' Program
October 14 (Tue)
City Tour - Participants were accompanied by volunteers from
the City of Sapporo to visit the Sapporo Art Park, the underground shopping
towns and shopping arcades.
October 15 (Wed)

Japanese Culture - Experts were invited to demonstrate the art of
Japanese flower arrangements (Ikebana), calligraphy and the proper way to
wear a Kimono.

October 16 (Thu)
|
|
Historical Village - Participants were accompanied by volunteers
from the City of Sapporo to visit the Historical Village of Hokkaido where
old restored buildings display the life style of people during the pioneer days.
